24 January 2011
Oxford Business Park, which is owned, developed and managed by global property group Goodman, has won a prestigious national landscaping award.
The annual BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) Awards in association with Horticulture Week, which have now been running for 34 years, pay tribute to exceptional skill and quality in the landscaping industry. Oxford Business Park has been awarded in the Grounds Maintenance of Business and Private Grounds category.
Goodman employs a dedicated team from Reliance Landscapes to maintain Oxford Business Park, which is sensitively designed to include mature trees and shrubs, water features and cycle tracks for the enjoyment of the Park’s many occupiers.
Richard Potter, Property Services Director of Goodman’s UK Business Parks, said: “Goodman’s business parks have a history of success in the landscaping industry: last year we won two BALI awards for Arlington Square and Gloucester Business Park. This latest award for Oxford Business Park demonstrates industry recognition for the high standards that we are committed to providing to our customers.
“As one of the world’s leading providers of superior business space, Goodman understands the importance of providing quality surroundings to those that work on our parks. Oxford Business Park is a leading example of how all the amenities a business community needs can be combined within natural surroundings. Its appeal has attracted leading businesses such as Manches, Harley Davidson and Oxfam, to the park.
Oxford Business Park offers accessibility to major transport routes and superior on-site amenities. The park is in close proximity to the A34 and M40, and a regular bus service to the city centre and rail station. It provides excellent amenities including a David Lloyd Health & Fitness Club; a day nursery; a restaurant and hotel; an adjacent retail park with a selection of shops including Boots, a Tesco superstore, Marks & Spencer Simply Food and a petrol station, set within a well managed environment.
Representatives from Goodman and Reliance Landscapes collected the well-deserved prize at a glittering awards ceremony hosted at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London.
