Goodman’s Oxford Business Park continues to grow as Clyde & Co doubles space

8 January 2012

Goodman, one of the UK’s leading providers of business space, has let over 7,800 sq ft of space to Clyde & Co (formerly Barlow Lyde & Gilbert) at Oxford Business Park, as the international law firm almost doubles the size of its office space to cater for business expansion.

Clyde & Co, a leading law firm renowned for commercial litigation and dispute resolution work in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, has committed to a 9 year lease for 7,878 sq ft of office space at Rowan Place, moving from its existing premises on the Park at Nash Court.

James Raven, Development Director at Goodman Business Parks, said: “We’re pleased that Clyde & Co has chosen to expand its business at Oxford Business Park and this positive news follows a string of lettings at the Park to high profile corporate occupiers including Centrica and Grant Thornton. This long term commitment from a leading professional services firm demonstrates that the right, well managed environment we provide here, with high quality office space in a strategic location is a significant draw for both new and existing occupiers.”

Pam McKay, Facilities Director at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, said: “We’re delighted to have new state-of-the-art offices that will help foster our continued and successful expansion in professional indemnity. We undertook an extensive search of the City and surrounding areas to make sure we chose the right property in Oxford for our business expansion. Rowan Place best suited our business needs and will provide us with high specification offices and executive meeting room suites that reflect our company culture and aspirations for future growth. We also saw it as an advantage to be situated alongside other professional services firms based at Oxford Business Park, and believe this forward thinking move will provide a positive boost for the Oxford economy.”

VSL and Strutt and Parker advised Goodman and Newton Perkins represented Clyde & Co.
